Attunement
Progress from matching strokes while wearing an heirloom. Reaching cumulative thresholds unlocks additional perks.
Boon
A bonus for the current run, commonly added to elite and challenger rewards. Browse boons.
Challenge rating
Catalog metadata used to select creatures for encounter pools. It is distinct from a Raid opponent's actual level.
Class item
The hero-specific gear slot, such as a shield, grimoire, or mechanism. Some heroes currently have no dedicated class items in the catalog.
Grace
The silence window before bleeding begins, modified by hero, equipment, realm stage, and other effects.
Guardian
The encounter that closes a realm. Guardians also guard their realm's family heirlooms.
Heirloom
A persistent trinket or ring. Family, tier, stars, and attunement all matter to its effects.
Overmatch
An equipment damage bonus against elites, challengers, and guardians.
Realm
One of the world's possible environments and encounter themes. A run visits several realm stages; the catalog lists all twenty available types.
Set bonus
An additional effect for wearing a trinket and ring of the same heirloom family. It uses the lower item's tier.
Skill ward
A defense that weakens harmful boss-skill effects.
Stars
Duplicate upgrades of an exact heirloom. Up to five stars increase positive item bonuses.
Tier
One of five equipment and encounter-pool bands. Item effects scale with tier; item pages already include that scaling.
